Justine （ジャスティーン）

I have been dedicated to working with children in various forms. I have been heavily involved in youth leadership within church, hospital, and theater programs in addition to my teaching experience as an educator. I approach most anything in a creative and open manner which easily allows me to come up with new ideas. This has been especially helpful in creating a unique experience for the children I work with. I greatly enjoy working with children and helping them to grow in knowledge. I aim to teach English to students around the world while guiding and inspiring them with the language.

私はこれまでさまざまな形で子ども達とかかわる仕事に携わってきました。教師としての指導経験のほか、教会、病院、演劇プログラムなどで青少年指導にも携わっています。常に新しいアイディアを考え出し、創造的自由な発想であらゆるものに対応することができます。ですから、私の生徒となる子ども達にユニークな経験をさせてあげられると思います。子ども達と接する仕事を心から楽しんでおり、子ども達の知識を深めていくことに喜びを感じております。言語でもって子ども達を導き、感激を与え、世界中の生徒達に英語を教えることを目指しています。 コンコルディア大学の教育学部の一環として、７－８年生に英語と演劇のクラスを指導しました。

Soydan（ソイダン）

子ども英会話、サタデースクール担当講師

Soydan Selamet was born in Istanbul. He started focused studies in education since high school at the age of 15. After graduating from Hacettepe University with a degree in ELT in 2004, he started to work as an English teacher in primary and secondary schools. He worked in the Okayama branch of Abroad for 3 years until he was transferred to Sendai in October 2008. He likes outdoor activities like barbeques, going for drives and cycling. He is good at sketching, and singing. He took part in many big events like concerts in which he was well received by audiences.

イスタンブル生まれのソイダン先生は教育を専攻し始めてきたのは15才からの教育専門高校からでした。2004年、アンカラのハジェッテペ大学で英語教育学部を卒業してから、小学校や中学校で働き、来日しました。アブロードランゲージセンター岡山校で3年働いて、2008年10月に仙台校へ来ました。 BBQ、ドライブ、サイクリングなどアウトドアアクティブティが好きで寸劇や歌が得意です。

David （デヴィッド）

I want everyone to have fun in class and enjoy learning. I think if children and adults are relaxed they will find it easier to study. With children I play a lot of games, card game, etc. With adult as much talking as possible, lots of pair work, with me and other students. Let’s have fun !

みんながレッスンを楽しんで、学習することに喜びを感じて欲しいです。こどもも大人もリラックスできれば、学習しやすいと思います。こども英会話では、たくさんのゲーム、カードを使ったゲームなどを取り入れています。大人英会話では、できるだけ話す機会を与えるように、私や他の生徒とペアになって練習しています。 いっしょに楽しみましょう！

Alex(アレックス）

I have been living in Japan for several years teaching at a wide range of schools. I first began teaching for Abroad in 2006 and currently provide kids, adults and business classes suitable to students of any ability. My own studies of Japanese provide me with a knowledge of the problems students may face when tackling any new language. I feel that having fun aids the learning process and I aim to provide classes in a relaxed, friendly and professional manner creating an enjoyable atmosphere that is conducive to studying. My personal approach to teaching stems from my experiences working in Japan combined with those learnt whilst working in my home country of England and throughout Europe. My personal interests include travel, snowboarding, music, film and modern art.

私は日本に数年間住んでいて、様々なスクールで教えたことがあります。アブロードでは、2006年から働き始めて、子供と大人、それぞれ生徒に合わせたビジネス英語クラスなどを担当しています。私自身が日本語を学習している過程は、生徒が新しい言語を学習する際に直面する様々な問題を知ることに役立っています。私は、生徒の学習をサポートすることに喜びを感じており、クラスではリラックスして和気藹々と、そして学習意欲を高める楽しい雰囲気のもとマナーを守って取り組んでいきます。私の指導法は、日本での職務経験とヨーロッパと私の母国イギリスとを組み合わせた方法です。
私の趣味は、旅行、スノーボード、音楽、映画鑑賞、現代アートなどです。

I’m a big fan of having fun when learning. If a child is allowed to show content and discontent you will win their heart. I love children for their pure emotions. I have learned and enjoyed my 12 years of teaching in Japan. I try most to teach children how to communicate their feelings and thoughts in English. Having fun with structure is my main goal in class.
Fun with structure is the way to go!

学ぶことを楽しむことが私の最高の喜びです。こどもが満足していたり不満をいだいていたり気持ちを伝えてくることで、心を通わせることができると思います。こどもの清らかな心が大好きです。日本で12年間、児童英語教育に関り楽しんでいます。私が一番こどもたちに教えたいことは、英語で自分の気持ちや考えを伝え合うことです。楽しみながら学習することがクラスで目標にしていることです。
